"Exercise as Medicine"

As Accredited Exercise Physiologists, we believe in the prescription of “exercise as medicine” to help improve the current health situation of our clients. We can prescribe exercise in a diverse number of ways, to help achieve specific health outcomes.

Your treatment program may utilise resistance training to help improve your strength and stability, or incorporate dynamic movements that help improve your aerobic fitness levels.

If you need to improve balance or increase flexibility – no problem, we have you covered by prescribing specific exercises that will address these problem areas. By utilising a variety of training modalities, it allows us to address your specific health goals – this may even include the management (and in some cases reversal) of chronic and complex health conditions.

Decades of research have shown that exercise is as effective as prescription medication in the management of several chronic diseases

So at your next doctors visit (when you next step on the scales or get your blood pressure taken), ask your doctor to begin monitoring your physical activity at each visit; and make a referral to us, so we can help you prevent these conditions occurring in the first place
